‘7th Heaven’ Star Jeremy London Shocks Fans with Surprising Revelation—See What He’s Doing Now

Actor Jeremy London, best known to TV audiences as youth minister Chandler Hampton on the long-running family drama “7th Heaven,” is making headlines after an emotional series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) in which he said he may soon lose both his job and his housing and asked followers for leads on work and a place to live. London, 53, wrote that his current employer is “going through some kind of mental crisis,” leaving the actor uncertain whether he will still have steady income. Stressing that acting gigs alone do not cover his expenses, he told fans he enjoys “physical labor,” including cutting trees, laying stone and operating heavy machinery, and is open to “new adventures” to stay afloat. In follow-up messages he admitted the situation has left him “not OK,” struggling to sleep and even “having a hard time breathing.” The plea struck a chord with social-media users, many of whom remember London from multiple 1990s touchstones: Griffin Holbrook on “Party of Five,” T.S. Quint in Kevin Smith’s cult comedy “Mallrats,” and—most searched this week—his two-season arc on “7th Heaven.” Interest in the actor has spiked as longtime fans express concern and share job leads, propelling “Jeremy London 7th Heaven” into trending territory. London has continued acting; his most recent release is the 2026 family film “Not My Dog.” Yet like many mid-career performers, he supplements Hollywood work with day jobs to support his family, including sons Lyrik, 19, and Wyatt, 12. Industry observers note that London’s situation underscores broader volatility in entertainment employment, even for recognizable names. With production slowdowns and shorter streaming seasons, actors often juggle multiple income streams between roles. For now, supporters are rallying around the “7th Heaven” alumnus, sharing freelance opportunities, offering temporary housing and flooding his timeline with encouragement. Whether his public request leads to a new role—on-screen or off—remains to be seen, but the outpouring of goodwill suggests that, decades after the Camden family left prime time, Jeremy London’s fan base is still eager to help him find a little piece of heaven on earth.
