Valkyries vs Aces Live: Score, Stream Info & Must-See Highlights of the Epic Showdown

The Golden State Valkyries have stunned the defending champion Las Vegas Aces by grabbing a 2-0 advantage in their best-of-five 2026 WNBA semifinal. Behind another late surge from Gabby Williams, the expansion Valkyries edged the Aces 83-81 in Game 2 at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Oct. 7, just three days after a 71-60 defensive clinic in the series opener. Key takeaways • Williams is averaging 25.5 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists through two games, outdueling two-time MVP A’ja Wilson. • Golden State has limited Las Vegas to 3-for-27 shooting from beyond the arc across Games 1 and 2. • Rookie coach Dawn Staley’s small-ball lineup is forcing 17 turnovers a night, turning miscues into 34 fast-break points. Why the series matters A Valkyries victory would mark the first time an expansion club reaches the WNBA Finals in its inaugural season, while the Aces are chasing a historic three-peat. The matchup also pits two of the league’s largest media markets—San Francisco and Las Vegas—fueling national interest and elevating television ratings. What’s next The series shifts to the Mandalay Bay Events Center for Game 3 on Friday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m. PT, with Game 4 (if necessary) slated for Sunday morning and a potential Game 5 back at Chase Center on Oct. 14.
