Stephen Moyer Stuns Fans with Surprise Return to Hit Vampire Series – Everything We Know
• Hot Trendy News
Stephen Moyer has surprised fans by revealing that his new period drama “The Forsytes” has already locked in Seasons 2 and 3—nearly two weeks before Season 1 even reaches American screens.
Speaking on Page Six Radio, the former “True Blood” favorite confirmed that PBS Masterpiece quietly signed the multi-season deal after seeing early cuts of the lavish Galsworthy adaptation. Hours later, Deadline backed up the scoop, reporting that the network officially green-lit a third season and fast-tracked production to start in April across locations in the U.K. and continental Europe.
Season 1 of “The Forsytes” debuts Sunday, March 22 at 9 p.m. ET, sliding into the coveted post-“Call the Midwife” slot on most PBS stations—prime real estate that should hand the costume saga a built-in audience. The opener introduces Moyer as patriarch Soames Forsyte, a Victorian titan whose iron-fisted control of his dynasty fractures when modern ideas—and scandal—creep in.
According to insiders, Season 2 will dramatize the Boer War years, while the newly ordered Season 3 propels the family into the Edwardian era, complete with on-location shoots in Cape Town and Paris. Executive producers say the accelerated renewal lets writers map a “sweeping, six-generation arc” without seasonal cliff-hangers or rushed conclusions.
The early vote of confidence caps a busy spring for Moyer. In addition to headlining “The Forsytes,” he’s finishing an indie thriller, “Art Detectives,” and has quietly re-upped his overall deal with production shingle CASM Films. “When a network believes this strongly, it’s fuel,” the actor said, hinting that he’ll also direct an upcoming episode. “We’re about to give PBS viewers a Sunday-night addiction.”
With advance buzz building, search traffic for both Stephen Moyer and “The Forsytes” is spiking. Expect die-hard period-piece fans—and curious “True Blood” converts—to tune in March 22 and keep the momentum rolling straight into Seasons 2 and 3.
