Patrick Dempsey Stuns as a Hitman With Alzheimer’s in Gripping “Memory of a Killer” Trailer – Watch It Now
• Hot Trendy News
The wait for Patrick Dempsey’s next small-screen comeback is officially over. Fox has unveiled the adrenaline-charged first trailer for “Memory of a Killer,” confirming a January 26 premiere that will put the former “Grey’s Anatomy” heart-throb back in prime time as a contract assassin hiding a devastating secret: early-onset Alzheimer’s.
Based on the Flemish best-seller and its award-winning 2003 film adaptation “De Zaak Alzheimer,” the eight-episode psychological thriller follows Angelo Doyle (Dempsey), a globe-class hitman whose flawless reputation begins to crack when memory lapses threaten to expose both his crimes and his family life. The trailer teases high-octane shoot-outs, whispered doctor visits and the chilling realization that every slip could be fatal.
An A-list ensemble surrounds Dempsey. Michael Imperioli plays Dutch, Angelo’s oldest friend whose gourmet restaurant doubles as a criminal hub; Gina Torres is relentless FBI agent Linda Grant, closing in on the killer who keeps slipping through her fingers. Richard Harmon, Odeya Rush, Daniel David Stewart and Peter Gadiot round out a cast built for tension.
Showrunners Aaron Zelman (“Damages”) and Glenn Kessler (“Bloodline”) recently took the reins from original creators Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, promising a noir look and “cat-and-mouse storytelling that never lets viewers know who to trust.” Produced by Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment, the series positions itself as the network’s marquee mid-season launch.
Dempsey’s profile has been white-hot since People magazine crowned him Sexiest Man Alive in 2023, a pop-culture milestone that continues to drive viral chatter and monthly search spikes around his name. With nostalgia for “McDreamy” at an all-time high, “Memory of a Killer” is poised to tap both longtime fans and thriller junkies hunting for their winter binge.
How to watch: “Memory of a Killer” debuts Thursday, January 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox and streams next-day on Hulu. Set your reminders—before Angelo’s slip-ups become must-see TV, and before you forget.
