Oregon Football Stuns Rival as Ducks Ignite Playoff Chase in Epic Upset

EUGENE, Ore.—Oregon Ducks football fans witnessed another Autzen classic Saturday night as freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola capped an 82-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown strike to tight end Jamari Johnson with just 28 seconds remaining, sealing a dramatic 17-14 comeback over the Nebraska Cornhuskers and pushing the Ducks to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in Big Ten play. Key moments and takeaways • Special-teams steadiness: rookie kicker Gage Hurych drilled field goals of 36, 36 and 37 yards to keep Oregon within striking distance when the offense sputtered early. • Defensive dominance: coordinator Tosh Lupoi’s unit limited the Huskers to 242 total yards and produced six three-and-outs, highlighted by linebacker Teitum Tuioti’s two-sack night. • Quarterback spark: after backup Brock Thomas managed just 50 first-half yards, coach Dan Lanning turned to Raiola, whose poise on two fourth-quarter marches reinvigorated an offense that converted 3-for-3 on fourth down.
