NFL This Weekend: Can’t-Miss Matchups, Injury Updates & Betting Odds
• Hot Trendy News
Championship Sunday sets the NFL stage for two heavyweight showdowns that will decide who heads to Super Bowl LX.
The schedule
• AFC Championship – New England Patriots at Denver Broncos: Sunday, Jan. 25, 3 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+
• NFC Championship – Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks: Sunday, Jan. 25, 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX/FuboTV
How to watch and stream
Cable viewers can tune in on CBS and FOX, while cord-cutters can stream via Paramount+, FuboTV, NFL+ and the Yahoo Sports app. Local market fans may also access free over-the-air HD broadcasts with an antenna.
AFC Championship preview
Denver’s Mile High defense hasn’t allowed a 100-yard rusher since Week 9, but quarterback C.J. Stroud faces a Patriots pass rush that finished top-three in sacks. New England will be without captain OLB Harold Landry III (knee), while WR Mack Hollins is questionable after a limited Friday practice. Denver lists RB J.K. Dobbins as a game-time decision because of a lingering hamstring issue. Expect both clubs to lean on play-action; the Broncos average 9.2 yards per attempt on such calls, second in the league.
NFC Championship preview
Seattle swept Los Angeles in the regular season, but each contest was decided by one score. Rams QB Matthew Stafford targets rookie WR Aidan Moore, who has four TDs in his last three outings, against a Seahawks secondary allowing 259 passing yards per game over the past month. Seattle counters with RB Kenneth Walker III; his league-best 22 carries of 15+ yards could exploit L.A.’s 25th-ranked run defense.
Betting nuggets
• Broncos -2.5; Over/Under 45.5
• Seahawks -1.0; Over/Under 48.0
Home favorites are 10-2 ATS in the last six conference championship weekends, while the under has hit in five straight AFC title games.
Why it matters
The Patriots seek their first Super Bowl trip since 2019, Denver its first since winning SB 50. Seattle aims for redemption after falling short in 2024, and L.A. looks to hoist the Lombardi again just four seasons after its 2022 triumph. High-stakes football, marquee quarterbacks, and legacy-defining moments await NFL fans this weekend.
