Jennifer Dulos Case Breakthrough: Investigators Unveil Startling New Evidence in Missing Mom Mystery
• Hot Trendy News
Six years after Connecticut mother Jennifer Farber Dulos vanished from her New Canaan home, her loved ones are renewing pleas for answers—and turning the painful milestone into a rallying cry for domestic-violence awareness.
On Friday, family spokesperson Carrie Luft released an emotional statement ahead of the May 24 anniversary, calling Dulos “love, grace and strength personified” and urging supporters to donate to organizations helping abuse survivors, including Interval House Hartford and the Black and Missing Foundation. “Jennifer lives on through her five incredible children, now young adults, who have grown up without both parents,” the statement reads, while also thanking state investigators for their “ongoing commitment to finding Jennifer.”
The New Canaan mother of five disappeared on May 24, 2019 during a contentious divorce and custody battle with her estranged husband, luxury homebuilder Fotis Dulos. She was declared legally dead last year, but her body has never been found. Fotis Dulos, charged with murder, died by suicide in January 2020, leaving prosecutors to focus on alleged co-conspirators.
The most prominent of those, former girlfriend Michelle Troconis, was convicted in March 2024 of conspiracy to commit murder, hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison on May 31, 2024—a verdict family advocates called a major step toward accountability. Two other defendants, attorney Kent Mawhinney and friend Pawel Goncalves, still face related charges.
Investigators have spent years combing surveillance footage, phone data and DNA evidence. Yet critical questions remain: Where are Jennifer’s remains, and could additional witnesses face charges? State police say the case is “active and open,” and a $50,000 reward for information leading to her discovery is still posted.
Advocates hope the renewed spotlight will drive public engagement on two fronts:
• Domestic-violence prevention. Connecticut saw a 22 percent rise in intimate-partner violence reports in 2024, according to Interval House. Donations and volunteer sign-ups typically spike around high-profile anniversaries, and Luft says “that’s one way Jennifer’s voice can still protect others.”
• Legislative change. In 2022, Connecticut enacted “Jennifer’s Law,” expanding the definition of domestic abuse to include coercive control and enhancing protective-order enforcement. Activists are now lobbying for mandatory GPS monitoring of high-risk offenders and expanded funding for survivor housing.
Community tributes are planned across Fairfield County this weekend, including a candlelight vigil on New Canaan’s Elm Street and a 5K charity walk in Hartford. Organizers ask participants to wear purple, the color of domestic-violence awareness, and to respect the privacy of the Dulos children.
Anyone with information about Jennifer Dulos’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Connecticut State Police tip line at 860-870-3228.
As the calendar turns to a seventh year without answers, Luft’s message echoes louder than ever: “Please keep Jennifer in your hearts—and work to ensure no other family endures this anguish.”
