ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos have confirmed that late wide-receiver legend Demaryius Thomas will be enshrined in the franchise’s Ring of Fame during halftime of the Week 7 clash with the New York Giants on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at Empower Field at Mile High. Thomas becomes the 38th member—and just the 13th first-ballot inductee—in the prestigious club. The ceremony headlines Alumni Weekend, which will also celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Denver’s Super Bowl 50 championship team, further cementing Thomas’ link to one of the franchise’s greatest eras. Owners Greg Penner and Carrie Walton Penner praised the five-time Pro Bowler’s “breathtaking athleticism, record-setting performances and joyful, infectious spirit,” adding that the honor is “a testament to the indelible mark he left on our organization and community.” Drafted 22nd overall in 2010, Thomas retired as the Broncos’ second-leading receiver in both yardage (9,055) and touchdowns (60) while ranking third in receptions (665). He still owns the franchise’s single-season record for receiving yards (1,619 in 2014) and the single-game mark (226 vs. Arizona that same year). Beyond the numbers, Thomas etched his name into NFL lore with an 80-yard overtime touchdown to upset the Steelers in the 2011 AFC wild-card round and with a then-record 13 catches in Super Bowl XLVIII. From 2012-16 he joined Jerry Rice and Marvin Harrison as the only players to log five straight seasons of 90-plus receptions and 1,000-plus yards. Thomas passed away unexpectedly in December 2021 at age 33, but his impact has continued through community initiatives such as Peyton Manning’s 18-to-88 scholarship fund. The upcoming Ring of Fame induction ensures his legacy will remain a focal point for future generations of Broncos fans. Kickoff for the Oct. 19 game is scheduled for 2:25 p.m. MT. Limited ticket packages for Alumni Weekend, which include access to the halftime ceremony, are available via Broncos.com and Ticketmaster. Fans unable to attend can watch the tribute live on CBS.
