How the seeding works
The CFP selection committee ranked Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia and Texas Tech as the top four regardless of conference finish, rewarding them with byes. Automatic bids go to the five highest-ranked conference champions, ensuring representation even for teams outside the traditional power structure. There is no re-seeding; each winner simply advances along its side of the bracket.
Streaming and TV guide
On-campus first-round games air across ABC, ESPN and the TNT Sports family (TNT, truTV, HBO Max). All neutral-site bowls and the title clash remain exclusive to ESPN/WatchESPN. Fans can also fill out the official Bracket Challenge Game for prizes and bragging rights.
